The process of the offering 10% Participating Interest (PI) in the Jabung Working Area continues to advance as PetroChina International Jabung Ltd., the Operator of the Working Area, signed a Confidentiality Agreement and the Official Minutes of the Open Data Room with PT Jambi Indoguna Internasional, the Regional Enterprise owned by Jambi Provincial Government, on Wednesday (12/11).

PT Jambi Indoguna Internasional has been appointed as the potential investor for the maximum 10% PI allocation, in line with the Participating Interest scheme mandated under ESDM Minister Regulation No. 37/2016.

The signing marks an important milestone in the PI offering process that has been ongoing since March 2023, demonstrating strong commitment from all stakeholders involved.

Present to witness the ceremony were Jambi Governor Al Haris, PI Taskforce Chief of the Jambi Regional Legislative Council Abun Yani, Oil and Gas Inspector from the Directorate General of Oil and Gas at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Asep Herman and representative from SKK Migas Southern Sumatra Representative Office.

PetroChina, together with all Jabung PI holders; PT Pertamina Hulu Energi Jabung, PETRONAS Carigali (Jabung) Ltd., PT GPI Jabung Indonesia, and PT Raharja Energi Tanjung Jabung expressed their full support for the ongoing process and hopes that the Open Data Room review will proceed smoothly and transparently.

The PI allocation to the Regional Enterprise is expected to enhance regional participation in upstream oil and gas development while strengthening value creation and long-term benefits for communities around the working area. As a Production Sharing Contractor (PSC) supervised by SKK Migas, PetroChina also receives full support from the Special Task Force for the implementation of the PI offering in the Jabung Working Area.
