SKK Migas-PetroChina hands over oxygen cylinders for Covid-19 mitigation in Jambi and Jakarta

SKK Migas-PetroChina handed over 50 oxygen cylinders and medical regulators to Jambi Province government in an event held at the Regional Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) office in Jambi City. These cylinders and medical regulators were symbolically handed over by Southern Sumatra SKK Migas Representative (SKK Migas Sumbagsel) Head Anggono Mahendrawan to Jambi Governor, Al Haris. PetroChina Jabung Field Manager John Halim and SKK Migas Sumbagsel Public Relations Senior Manager Andi Arie Pangeran, and other government officials also attended the event.

Meanwhile, in Jakarta, SKK Migas-PetroChina collaborated with Indonesia Chamber of Commerce (Kadin) handed over 267 oxygen cylinders and medical regulators to the Indonesian Government via the Indonesian National Police. The event took place at the police's procurement headquarters in Cipinang on the same day. The cylinders and regulators were symbolically handed over by PetroChina Vice President Supply Chain Management Gusminar to Police Chief Assistant in Logistics Insp. Gen. Firman Shantyabudi.

PetroChina is one of the Production Sharing Contractors (PSCs) participated in delivering Covid-19 mitigation assistance, collaborating with SKK Migas and Kadin. Previously, PetroChina handed over 380 oxygen cylinders and medical regulators to the Indonesian Army (TNI AD) at the Indonesian Army Headquarters on July 30, 2021.

Vice President Human Resources & Relations PetroChina Dencio Renato Boele hopes that the assistance would help the government in mitigating Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia. “These oxygen cylinders are ready-to-use. They are taken from our field in Jabung Block and have been reconditioned in accordance with medical standards. PetroChina is proud to be a part of this collaboration between upstream oil and gas industry and Kadin to assist the Indonesian government in Covid-19 mitigation effort,” says Dencio.
