Over 450 PetroChina employees were registered to receive their first Covid-19 vaccine shot over the two days at SKK Migas’ office on City Plaza building, South Jakarta.

PetroChina VP Human Resources & Relations Dencio Renato Boele said that the company fully supported the program and strongly encouraged all Jakarta-based employees to take part in it. “This is our contribution to the government’s national Covid-19 vaccination program. Collaboration is key in our collective effort to curb the virus’ spread and end the pandemic,” he said.

In the program, PetroChina is part of a collaboration led by SKK Migas involving over 50 production sharing contractors (PSCs) to inoculate around 12,000 workers on April 25-30. Upstream oil and gas workers were among the priority targets in the government’s Covid-19 vaccination program as part of the industry’s mission to produce 1 million BOPD and 12 BSCFD in 2030.

To prepare for the vaccination program, the workers were registered at the Health Ministry. Workers were then briefed to prepare for vaccination day, including by maintaining their health and to strictly observe health protocols at the vaccination center. After receiving their first shot, workers received their Covid-19 vaccination certificate and were registered to receive their second shot in late May.

The program also includes vaccination for elderlies over 60 years old, a priority group in the current phase of the government’s national vaccination program.
