PetroChina Jabung’s Q1 Performance Released

In a virtual press conference on Q1 Performance, held on April 26, SKK Migas reported that the average daily national production by the end of March 2021 reached 1,885 MBOEPD, which consisted of 679.5 MBOPD of oil and 6,748 MMSCFD of sales gas. The total of oil and gas lifting reached 1,665.25 MBOEPD, or 95.9 percent from a target set in the 2021 state budget.

As the operator of Jabung Block, PetroChina Jabung recorded the average daily oil production of 14,760 BOPD, or 92.3 percent from the target set in the state budget; and 171 MMSCFD of sales gas, a 94.7 percent realization from this year’s target. The numbers put PetroChina in the seventh position of top oil producers and eighth rank of sales gas producer among other production sharing contractors (PSCs) in Indonesia.

SKK Migas reported that the Indonesian Crude Price (ICP) in 2021 has improved and was recorded at US$ 59.01/bbl, higher than the state budget’s assumption of $ 45/bbl. After being seriously affected by Covid-19 pandemic in 2020, SKK Migas said that oil and gas demand started to increase in 2021.

SKK Migas is committed to prevent and control the Covid-19 spread among the upstream oil and gas workforce.  Apart from continuing to strict implementation of health protocols and screenings for field workers, SKK Migas also prepared the Covid-19 vaccination program for PSCs employees in Jakarta. From April 25 and 26, more than 400 of PetroChina Jakarta employees received the first dose of Covid-19 vaccine in SKK Migas office. The second dose of vaccination is scheduled in late May. SKK Migas targets 12,000 employees would take the two-dose vaccination.
