More than 400 PetroChina employees in Jakarta Office and their family members joined the COVID-19 booster vaccination from February 2 to 4, 2022. PetroChina teamed up with its Jabung Block Partner PT GPI Jabung Indonesia to prepare this event.

Amid the new COVID-19 variant and the third wave of infection in Indonesia, booster vaccination is one of PetroChina’s efforts to protect the employees and their families. Apart from vaccination, PetroChina has implemented work from home policy for all Jakarta employees, limited the offline meetings and regularly hosted COVID-19-related webinars to update the employees’ information.

In 2021, PetroChina joined SKK Migas in the mass vaccination event for all oil and gas workers both in Jakarta and Jambi, providing two doses of COVID-19 vaccination for thousands of people. The company also provided vaccination programs for residents living around Jabung Block area.

“Our life must go on, including our business activities or education. I hope the booster vaccination will provide another layer of protection against the even more transmissible new variant of COVID-19,” said Act. President PetroChina Dencio Renato Boele.

Dencio added that following health protocols remained the main shield against the virus. “Please wear the mask, wash your hands, keep the distance, avoid the crowd and limit your public activities,” Dencio reminded PetroChina employees.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, PetroChina field workers must take few days of quarantine prior to and after their field assignment. They also go through multiple screenings to avoid the COVID-19 infection in the field.
