The knowledge-sharing forum was attended by around 81 delegates from universities all across Indonesia. The event had both offline and online participants.
“The goal of the national work meeting is to strengthen the bond between university student executive bodies in Indonesia, so that students can synergize and collaborate in uniting ideas for the advancement of the country,” organizing committee chair Rendy said, as quoted by journalists.
Separately, PetroChina Jabung government relations superintendent Setiandika Priandaru said that PetroChina was proud to have sponsored collaborative events by university students. “We hope this national work meeting can be a good medium for participating students to share knowledge and experience, in order to complement their academic skills. University students today will become national leaders tomorrow. It is important for them to nurture the spirit of collaboration and building collective ideas since early on, for better national development in the future,” he said.
Jambi Governor Al Haris, in a statement made at his official residence, shared Setiandika’s statement. He said that BEM was a good medium to educate university students on new and high-quality skills. Haris congratulated the national work meeting’s organizing committee for the successful event.
Haris was among several regional leaders who spoke at the meeting, alongside Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan and Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo.
