In September, PetroChina collaborated with the Indonesian Army (TNI-AD) to hold mass Covid-19 vaccination programs in Tanjung Jabung Barat (TJB) and Tanjung Jabung Timur (TJT) regencies in the province. In the same month, PetroChina also handed over Covid-19 donations to both regency administrations.

On Sept. 2-3, PetroChina held a Covid-19 vaccination drive for locals in Pandan Jaya subdistrict, Geragai district, TJT. The event, which aimed to inoculate 2,000 people, was attended by TJT Regent Romi Hariyanto, 042/Garuda Putih Military Resort Commander Brig. Gen. M Zulkifli and other officials.

A similar event was also held at the Betara district office in TJB on Sept. 13-14. TJB Regent Anwar Sadat, local legislative council speaker H. Abdullah, 0419/Tanjung Jabung Military District Commander Lieut. Col. (Inf) Erwan Susanto, and other officials attended the event.

Apart from the vaccination programs, PetroChina also actively assists local governments in providing resources for healthcare workers. On Sept. 9, PetroChina handed over donations of 30 oxygen cylinders with regulators, 1,875 rapid test antigen tools, 200 PPEs, and 25,000 surgical masks to the Tanjung Jabung Barat administration. TJB Regent Anwar Sadat received these donations.

A similar donation handover was also held in Tanjung Jabung Timur on Sept. 17. For TJT, apart from Covid-19 donations, PetroChina also handed over a library building in Pandan Lagan village alongside a three-wheeled mobile library and 350 books as part of the company’s CSR program. TJT Regent Romi Haryanto received the donations.

During the pandemic, PetroChina has made various contributions for Covid-19 prevention and control efforts in Jakarta and Jambi. The company donated 30,000 face masks to the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and distributing several batches of Covid-19 donations for healthcare workers, journalists and local communities in Jambi.

PetroChina has also supported several Covid-19 vaccination programs. Apart from the two programs above, PetroChina also supported vaccination drives in villages in Geragai district managed by Simpang Pandan community health center (Puskesmas) in August and September this year.

PetroChina hopes that these contributions may alleviate the burden of local governments in Covid-19 prevention and control efforts. PetroChina is committed to maintain synergy with stakeholders through various community development programs and humanitarian activities.
