Pokdarwis Sukorejo is a Liberica coffee-based community development program in Betara district, Tanjung Jabung Barat regency, Jambi, supported by PetroChina.
The trainings, managed in collaboration with the Tanjung Jabung Barat branch of the Indonesian Hotels and Restaurants Association (PHRI), aimed at improving tourism management skills.
The first training was held at Luminor Hotel and Valentine Bakery on Sept. 25-27. The second one, which was about Homestay Packing Bed, was held at BW Luxury Hotel and Take Guest House on Sept. 26. The third one, on photography, was held at Owl Fotografi on Sept. 26-28.
Pokdarwis Sukorejo head Harihadi said that he hoped the trainings would encourage his pokdarwis colleagues to provide best service for customers at the Sukorejo Ecotourism, which the pokdarwis manages.
“The goal was that members of the pokdarwis can give the best service for visitors, including in presenting meals or in helping with taking photos. When visitors wish to spend the night in our homestay, hopefully they will be impressed with the ecotourism experience,” he said.
