As the operator of Jabung Block in Jambi, PetroChina has welcomed many company visits, both to our Jakarta Office and Jabung Fields, from university students from surrounding cities. The Covid-19 pandemic has shifted the way we interact, and now PetroChina has hosted multiple virtual events for students and other stakeholders. The virtual event also enabled PetroChina welcome company visits from further universities, including from Unhas that is located in Sulawesi island.

The Sunday event, that was part of FELSFAR 2021, was attended by more than 70 students, some of them were students from different universities in different cities. With the theme of “Virtual Journey to the Work Field”, the meeting invited PetroChina’s engineers Muhtar of Exploitation Dept. and Vera Veronica of Reservoir Jabung Dept., as well as Fifi Fitrianti of HR Dept.

While Muhtar and Vera talked about the dynamics and challenges of managing Jabung Block, Fifi discussed about internship opportunities in PetroChina.

Every year, PetroChina provided internship opportunities for students and fresh graduates in all departments. During the Covid-19 pandemic, all internship programs have been conducted online.
