Good news from Jabung as PetroChina secured the Green PROPER Awards, both for oil (Geragai) and gas (Betara) operations, from the Ministry of Environment on February 24, 2025.

Organized by the Ministry of Environment annually, the PROPER ranking measures a company’s environmental management performance and compliance.  Green PROPER is awarded to companies with beyond compliance status, while Blue award is dedicated to companies that meet the requirements of environmental management programs. Meanwhile, Gold PROPER is the highest ranking for companies with beyond-compliance environmental management and extraordinary community empowerment programs.

PetroChina’s Vice President of Finance Mr. Jin Lihao attended the awarding event on behalf of President Director Mr. Wang Lei.

“PetroChina Jabung is very proud to receive Green PROPER awards for our oil and gas operations from the Ministry of Environment. This recognition is a testament to our commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable practices within the Indonesian oil and gas sector,” Mr. Wang announced.

The Green PROPER award not only highlights PetroChina’s commitment to responsible oil and gas activities and environmental protection but also emphasizes the company’s role in creating sustainable social investment programs for communities around Jabung.

“This award validates our efforts in implementing innovative solutions, investing in cleaner technologies, and fostering environmental consciousness among PetroChina employees.
