PetroChina International Jabung Ltd. (PCJL) has signed a gas sales purchase agreement (GSPA) with Indonesian state-owned gas distribution firm PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (PGN) in Jakarta on January 10, 2025. Under the agreement, in effect from January 1 this year to December 31, 2026, PCJL will supply 4,651 billion British thermal units (BBTU) to PGN.
PCJL President Director Wang Lei and PGN Commercial Director Ratih Esti Prihatini signed the GSPA, which reflects the strong collaboration between PCJL, PGN and the Indonesian government to support the domestic energy infrastructure and the government’s efforts to ensure energy security.
In his speech, Wang remarked that PetroChina Jabung was committed to providing stable gas supply across Indonesia. “Our partnership with PGN has consistently delivered reliable energy for city gas needs, and we look forward to continuing to deliver value to all stakeholders,” he said.
Meanwhile, Ratih said, “The additional supply from the Jabung Block comes at a critical time for PGN as we address pipeline gas supply challenges. We are committed to securing alternative sources of gas to support energy security and sustain Indonesia’s industrial growth, which is fundamental to the nation’s economic development.”
