SKK Migas has included PetroChina International Jabung Limited in its two lists of Indonesia’s top nine oil producers and top nine gas producers in 2020. SKK Migas deputy of operations Julius Wiranto said that despite the pandemic, the targets achieved in 2020 were satisfactory.

“We are grateful that major PSCs were performing well, some even exceeded targets. Even though we are still battling the Covid-19 pandemic, I hope that our experience in going through 2020 will be a strong foundation to achieve target in 2021,” said Julius.

To achieve oil and gas lifting target of 705 thousand BOPD and 5,638 MMSCFD respectively, SKK Migas and PSCs have agreed to more programs compared to last year. SKK Migas plans to increase development wells activities to 616 wells or 144 percent more than drilling realisation in 2020.

SKK Migas is also focusing on exploration activities by drilling 43 exploration wells, conducting 3,569 km of 2D seismic survey, and 1,549 km2 of 3D seismic survey.
