In the program, held from Aug. 4 to Aug. 6, PetroChina is set to inoculate its workers at various locations in Jambi province, including EV Garden Jambi City, Transit House Jambi, Geragai Camp and Betara Camp.
This follows the first stage of Covid-19 vaccination program in Jambi on July 5-6.
PetroChina Vice President Human Resources & Relations Dencio Renato Boele said that the company was proud to be able to support the Indonesian government’s Covid-19 vaccination campaign. “We hope that, as our Jabung Block workers have obtained two Covid-19 vaccine shots, they will be better protected against the virus. Hopefully, this will boost our workers’ productivity at our facilities in the effort to fulfill the government’s production target,” he said.
Dencio also said that he was glad the vaccination at EV Garden Jambi City on Aug. 4 went on smoothly.
Other Jambi-based oil and gas production sharing contractors (PSCs), including Repsol Indonesia and MontD’Or Oil Tungkal Ltd., also joined in this vaccination program. Upstream oil and gas workers are among the priority targets in the government’s Covid-19 vaccination program as part of the industry’s mission to produce 1 million BOPD and 12 BSCFD in 2030.
Meanwhile, PetroChina’s Jakarta Office employees received their two Covid-19 shots in April and May, in a vaccination program also coordinated by SKK Migas.
Dencio said that he reminded all workers to always obey Covid-19 health protocols, even after receiving two vaccine shots. “We have seen people still getting sick with Covid-19 after receiving two shots. With this in mind, I urge all employees to always pay attention to the health protocols. Watch your distance, avoid crowds, wear a mask and wash your hands as often as possible. If you don’t have to work or have no urgent need to be outside, please stay at home,” he said.
