On January 28, 2021, the company handed over solar home systems (SHS) that provide electricity for people in Simpang Jelita and Mendahara Tengah villages, Tanjung Jabung Timur regency.

In this occasion, PetroChina handed over 57 SHS units for Simpang Jelita villagers and another 67 units for Mendahara Tengah villagers. The handover ceremony was held at Simpang Jelita district head office.

The solar home systems were installed at villagers’ homes, the local district head office, a local cemetery and musholla (small mosque).

“Electricity is an essential need. We hope that the solar home systems can help the villagers of Simpang Jelita and Mendahara Tengah in their daily activities,” PetroChina’s VP Human Resources & Relations Dencio Renato Boele said.
