PetroChina Hands over Oxygen Cylinders for Covid-19 Control Efforts

The signing and handing over ceremony from VP SCM Gusminar to Head of TNI AD’s Health Center Mayor General dr. Budiman took place in the Indonesian Army headquarters in Jakarta on Friday, July 30, 2021.

PetroChina, which participated in the oxygen cylinder program under the coordination of SKK Migas and Indonesia’s Chamber of Commerce (KADIN), is one of several production sharing contractors (PSCs) that provide oxygen cylinders and isotanks for Covid-19 patients across Indonesia.

“The 380 oxygen cylinders that we provide today are taken from our Jabung Field in Jambi and have been carefully examined and reconditioned to meet the medical standards for patients. Those cylinders will be distributed through TNI AD’s hospitals in several cities,” said Gusminar during the handover ceremony.

SKK Migas Chairman Dwi Soetjipto, KADIN chairman Arsyad Rasjid, and TNI AD Chief of Staff General Andika Perkasa also attended the handover ceremony.

In the wake of Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia, PetroChina has actively participated in various prevention and control efforts. Working with Covid-19 Task Force, PetroChina provided the PPE for health workers and provided trainings and online seminars for other stakeholders. PetroChina also distributed staple-food packages in several batches for residents living around Jabung Block area.
