PetroChina’s internal magazine “Lampion” was named Silver Winner in Multinational Company category at the 2020 InHouse Magazine Awards (InMA). The awarding ceremony, themed “Creation that Inspires the Nation” and organized by the Newspaper Publishers Union (SPS), was held in Banjarmasin on Friday, Feb. 7, 2020.

Lampion’s 7th edition (January-March 2019) was named as the award winner at the event.

The annual awards commemorate the National Press Day and recognize publications by reputable media outlets, government institutions, university student press associations and private companies throughout Indonesia. In the award ceremony, SPS also handed out trophies for winners of Indonesia Print Media Awards (IPMA), Indonesia Student Print Media Awards (ISPRIMA) and Indonesia Young Readers Awards (IYRA).

PetroChina communication manager Ginandjar received Lampion’s InMA award from SPS advisory board secretary Ahmad Djauhar on behalf of PetroChina management.

Lampion is published quarterly and features PetroChina's events, CSR stories and other articles written by our employees in Jakarta Office and Jabung Field. Other InMA recipients in the Multinational Company category were PT Nestle Indonesia’s FAMILI magazine as Gold Winner and PT Hutchison 3 Indonesia’s Triangle magazine as Silver Winner. In total, there were 173 entries for InMA this year.

In a press statement, SPS highlighted Lampion as among “InMA new players whose quality captivated the attention of members of the jury.”

In his opening speech, SPS chair Januar Primadi Ruswita said that he was amazed by the level of participation in this year’s awards. “Congratulations to all winners,” he said.

Meanwhile, InMA jury member and Kompas photo editor Danu Kusworo said that this year’s InMA competition held many surprises. “[InMA participants this year] can maintain their good quality,” he said, adding that corporate internal magazines should have more contents produced by employees.
