During the socialization event for employees, which took place in several sessions in early September 2021, HR Manager Alfiani said that employees and their listed family members could enjoy the medical consultation and have their medical prescription directly sent to their homes. “Under these circumstances, we still strongly suggest our employees to stay at home as much as they can. Through this telemedicine services, they don’t have to leave the house to get medical consultation,” she said.

HSSE Manager Alvin Reginald added that telemedicine services was an effort to adapt the current situation. “The company is committed to keep supporting the employees in staying fit and healthy. The telemedicine service is the best way to maintain our health condition without risking ourselves to COVID-19 infection at hospitals,” she said.

Alvin said that the telemedicine provider would coordinate with PetroChina medical team for further medical assistance.

According to Siska Tamba of Good Doctor, PetroChina employees and their families are priority members of the services. “The general telemedicine services include medical consultation through instant messaging with medical prescription sent to their homes through delivery services. But if necessary, we provide doctor appointment. In these cases, we would notify the company’s medical team,” Siska said.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, PetroChina has taken multiple measurements to ensure the safety of each employee. The management has applied work-from-home policy for Jakarta Office employees and adjust the rotation period of Jabung Field employees. All employees who return to office must undergo antigen/PCR test to avoid the outbreak.

PetroChina has stipulates all employees to report their daily temperature and any health symptoms. Recently, the company has received a safety award for COVID-19 Prevention Efforts at Workplace from Jambi Governor.
