SKK Migas – PetroChina supports local regencies’ COVID-19 prevention efforts

SKK Migas – PetroChina International Jabung Ltd. actively participates in COVID-19 prevention efforts in the surrounds of its work areas in Tanjung Jabung Timur (TJT) and Tanjung Jabung Barat (TJB) regencies, Jambi.

On Wednesday, April 1, 2020, the company handed over donations of medical supplies, COVID-19 awareness campaign materials and disinfection equipment in TJB and TJT regencies.

The handover in TJT took place at the regent’s official residence in Muara Sabak. PetroChina Jabung Government & Relation Superintendent Saipul symbolically handed over the donation to the Indonesian Red Cross’ (PMI) local branch head Wirdayanti Romi. The donation comprised hand sprayers, personal protective equipment (PPE), gloves, face protectors, protective glasses, N-95 masks, safety shoes and thermo guns.

Meanwhile, in TJB, SKK Migas – PetroChina donated donated liquid disinfectant, spraying equipment, gloves and protective glasses to the Betara district administration, which was represented by district head Tony Ermawan Putra.

In addition to the donations, SKK Migas – PetroChina participated in disinfecting areas in both regencies on April 6.

In TJB, the disinfection was carried out at the Betara district office, the main roads in the villages of Pematang Lumut, Terjun Gajah, Pematang Buluh, and Muntialo.

Meanwhile, disinfection in TJT was carried out in Geragai district office, Blok D market and the villages of Pandan Jaya, Pandan Lagan, Kota Baru and Pandan Makmur. District and village heads, alongside local police chiefs, healthcare professionals and community leaders supervised the disinfection in both Geragai and Betara.

PetroChina VP Human Resources and Relations Dencio Renato Boele said that these were a part of PetroChina’s effort in ensuring the health and safety of the people in the surrounds of the company’s work areas in both Geragai and Betara districts.

“This shows that PetroChina is committed in protecting the locals who live around our operation areas, especially in Geragai and Betara,” says Dencio.
