SKK Migas-PetroChina International Jabung Ltd., with the support of Tanjung Jabung Timur administration, host a webinar on the preparation of new normal life implementation in the light of Covid-19 on Wednesday, July 1, 2020.
The webinar invited three speakers, namely Riskiyana Sukandhi Putra, the Health Ministry’s Director for Health Promotion; Yuliyanto, the Mayor of Salatiga city in Central Java; and Novia Susanti, researcher for the Jambi Research and Development Agency. Vice President HR and Relations of PetroChina, Dencio R. Boele gave the opening speech, while Head of SKK Migas Southern Sumatera Adiyanto Agus Handoyo officially opened the webinar that attended by 50 people. More people watched it live on Youtube channel.
“The webinar is one of our efforts to support the information dissemination about Covid-19 prevention among our stakeholders in Tanjung Jabung Timur,” Dencio said, referring to participants of the webinar. Riskiyana shared the strategy of new normal life that prepared by the central government, while Yuliyanto shared his strategy to keep the local business in Salatiga running during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Novia recommended some strategies to prepare the new normal life in Tanjung Jabung Timur. Novia said that the oil and gas industry must maintain operations, because it supported the energy sufficiency in the country. The industry, however, had to implement strict health protocol for its workers.
PetroChina currently implements the work-from-home policy and regular daily temperature checks for its employees in Jakarta office. Meanwhile, Jabung field employees must report the epidemiology background check and undergo 14-day of quarantine before returning to work in the field. PetroChina has channeled donations for Covid-19 prevention both in Jambi and Jakarta. The donations included the personal protective equipment and surgical masks for medical workers, and staple food packages for journalists and residents of Tanjung Jabung Barat, Tanjung Jabung Timur and Jambi City.
