A modest handover event was held at the BW Luxury Hotel Jambi on Thursday, Aug. 18. SKK Migas Southern Sumatra Representative Office public relations senior manager Andi Arie Pangeran, PetroChina Jabung community development staff members M. Yuda Ramdani and M. Yusuf, PWI Jambi chair H. Ridwan Agus Depati, PWI Jambi secretary general Hery Farmansyah and FJM Jambi chair Mursyid Sonsang attended the event.

The staple needs included rice, cooking oil, sugar, flour, medical masks, hand sanitizer and vitamins.

PetroChina Vice President Human Resources & Relations Dencio Renato Boele said that the donations were a form of common concern by SKK Migas and PetroChina for the health of journalists as important partners of the upstream oil and gas sector in Jambi Province.

“Amid this ongoing pandemic, all of us have an important role to protect one another’s health. The pandemic is a difficult time for all of us. PetroChina hopes that the donations can help journalists implement health protocols daily,” Dencio said.

Meanwhile, Andi Arie said that SKK Migas appreciated journalists in Jambi for actively spreading balanced information on upstream oil and gas to the general public. “We will continue working together with the government in Covid-19 management, including in giving help to our journalist partners,” he said.
