PetroChina Goes to Campus Strengthens Collaboration with Academia

As part of its commitment to support future talent development, PetroChina International Jabung Ltd. organized the PetroChina Goes to Campus program at five universities during April and May 2026.

The program was held at Universitas Diponegoro in Semarang; Universitas Gadjah Mada and UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta in Yogyakarta; as well as Universitas Jambi and UIN Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin in Jambi. Through this initiative, PetroChina introduced opportunities for students and fresh graduates to participate in the company’s internship (KP), final project (TA), and fresh graduate internship programs.

During the campus visits, participants attended sessions covering the company profile, an overview of the upstream oil and gas industry, as well as information on PetroChina’s academic and internship programs. A technical sharing session was also delivered by Well Operations Specialist Pang Zhanqiang, who shared his experience working in the industry and highlighted the importance of adaptability and continuous learning in a global work environment.

Information on PetroChina’s internship programs was delivered by Fifi Fitrianti from the HR Department, while company profile presentations were conducted by Bendrifa Brilianti, Dea Roriza from the Communication Department.

In addition to student engagement activities, PetroChina representatives also met with university leaders and faculty representatives to strengthen the collaboration between PetroChina and academic communities. The meetings were attended by Vice President Business Support Alfiani, HR Manager Elvin D.L. Tobing, and Training Senior Superintendent Yosefine Aryani.

Through PetroChina Goes to Campus, the company aims to support students’ career readiness while fostering stronger connections between higher education institutions and the upstream oil and gas industry.
