PetroChina’s management and employees in Jakarta Office hosted the Eid Fitri gathering, known as Halal Bi Halal in Indonesian, on May 20, 2024. The celebration for all employees brought the theme of Growth Mindset for Pesonal Transformation.

PetroChina Traditional Dance Community opened the event with Aceh dance, while PetroChina Singers performed several medley Islamic songs for the audience. The main speaker for the event was Dudi Supriadi of ESQ Training Centre, a people development training center focusing on leadership.

In his remarks, President Director Qian Mingyang echoed the importance of growth mindset for Jabung employees. “As Jabung operator during the block extension period, we face bigger challenges. The oil fields are aging, we need better and more efficient technologies, and our employees must adapt to digital transformation. All while maintaining our commitment to health, safety, and sustainability,” Qian said.

“The road ahead is challenging, but we are equipped with agility to adjust and improve. Let’s keep this spirit of personal transformation for the sake of our growth,” Qian added.

While discussing the theme, the speaker and employees highlighted the Koran’s Ar-Ra’d verse 11, which said “For each one are successive [angels] before and behind him who protect him by the decree of Allah. Indeed, Allah SWT will not change the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves. And when Allah SWT intends for a people ill, there is no repelling it. And there is not for them besides Him any patron”.

The verse emphasized that success would come to those who try their best to improve their situation. The principle aligned with PetroChina’s core value of innovation in managing Jabung Working Area.
