PetroChina Jabung community development staff M. Yusuf and Resmanudin handed over the donation to Mendahara district head Amri Juhardy at the Mendahara district office. The donation comprises one ton of rice, cooking oil, mineral water, instant noodle, milk powder, blankets, sarongs and clothes.

Fire had engulfed 121 homes in a densely-populated area across three hamlets in Mendahara Tengah village, Mendahara district, at dawn on June 8. The fire was eventually extinguished after three hours. No casualty was reported in the incident.

PetroChina vice president human resources and relations Dencio Renato Boele said that the company’s management and staff sent their deepest sympathy to all fire victims and hoped that the donations could help ease the victims’ burden. Mendahara district head Amri Juhardy said that the donations would be delivered speedily to Mendahara Tengah village by river.
