In his opening video, PetroChina President Mr. Qian Mingyang said that the block extension opportunity came with great commitment to support the government’s ambitious production target of 1 milliion BOPD of oil and 12 BSCFD of gas in 2030.
“As part of the best 10 producing blocks in Indonesia, Jabung block will be demanded not only to maintain production, but also to increase it in line with the government’s target,” said Qian. “For this reason, the management of PetroChina Indonesia already set up new Vision, Mission and Values, as well as a set of new competencies to be adopted by all of our employees.”
According to Qian, PetroChina’s new vision is to support Indonesia’s energy security through PetroChina’s sustainable development, while the mission is to be a leading oil and gas company in Indonesia. To support that, PetroChina introduces new values, which are safety, integrity, integrated, innovation and agile.
“Please do not feel abundance with those new Vision, Mission and Values. This is not an overnight job. We have years ahead of us to fulfill our mission,” Qian reminded all employees.
The management also introduced new competencies to support the implementation of vision, mission and values. “The first two competencies are resilience and flexibility. I wish all PetroChina employees to be resilience in mentality, and at the same time also flexible in action to overcome any challenges in the future,” he said.
“The next competencies are solution-focused, so we can reach the goal or even beyond it, and achievement orientation, which requires employees to be persistence, innovated and focus on solution to reach beyond our business target,” Qian continued.
During the main event of Jabung Festival, Field Manager Jabung John Halim and Arif Hari Suseno and Act. General Manager Jabung Budi Tyas Utomo joined in the online talk show to discuss about the future of Jabung Block.
“With the new vision, mission and values, we have the roadmap for Jabung’s operation in the next twenty years,” John said.
As the production sharing contractor, PetroChina would keep focusing on increasing production while strictly applying health, safety and environment protocols.
“This year, we had booked some good achievements in HSE, including Subroto Award, Patra Nirbhaya Karya Utama Adinugraha II, Patra Karya Raksa Madya, and Zero Accident Award. Let us keep up this good work and achieve better record tomorrow,” John added.
