Some 156 employees in Jakarta Office and Jabung Field were celebrated for their service years at PetroChina, ranging from five to 30 years.

In his opening speech, PetroChina Indonesia President Qian Mingyang said that he was impressed by the hard work and dedication of Service Award recipients.

“During this pandemic, we are required to carry out strict health protocols to keep our operations running. Times have been tough this past 18 months, but so many of you have risen up to the task of keeping our operations smooth. On behalf of PetroChina’s management, I am proud of all of you,” he said.

Normally, service awards ceremonies take place in the office, where awards recipients have the chance to shake hands and take pictures with PetroChina’s management.

In his remarks, Vice President Human Resources & Relations Dencio Renato Boele said that he hoped the virtual event’s limited nature did not diminish the awards’ significance for recipients. “Congratulations for the important milestones in your PetroChina journey. I hope this appreciation award will encourage you to work better and more innovative,” he said.

Several service awards recipients were also asked to give short, pre-recorded testimonies for the event. Posma Sibarani from Jabung field, who received a 10-year service award, was selected for best testimony video, for creating an engaging video with music and English subtitle.

In the video, Posma thanked PetroChina management for the service award. “We are proud to be part of PetroChina. We expect to be able to stay with PetroChina until our retirement age, good luck to all of us, may God bless us,” he said.
