PetroChina International Jabung Ltd. handed over 250 staple needs packages and 300 liters of cooking oil for orphans and the poor in Tanjung Jabung Timur regency on April 19, during the Islamic fasting month of Ramadan.

The regency’s development agency chief Ali Fahruddin accepted the packages in an event held at the Tanjung Jabung Timur regional secretary’s official residence. The packages would later be distributed to orphans and the poor in the regency.

“This is part of SKK Migas and PetroChina’s Ramadan aid program for the less fortunate people around our operational area. PetroChina has always participated in such programs during Ramadan month. We will keep this good tradition alive in the future,” PetroChina Communication Manager Ginandjar said.

Earlier in April, PetroChina distributed similar donations in Tanjung Jabung Barat, namely in Purwodadi village, Tebing Tinggi district on April 13 and then in Mandala Jaya village, Betara district on April 16.
