As the operator of Jabung Block in Jambi, PetroChina has actively taken part in developing the area. Since 2002, various programs in infrastructures, economic empowerment, health and education have helped members of society increasing their life quality.

Ahead of Jabung Block extension in 2023, PetroChina vows to continue the social investment programs for Jambi people. PetroChina Vice President HR & Relations Dencio Renato Boele on Saturday, August 13, met with Jambi Governor Al Haris in Jakarta to sign a memorandum of understanding in social investment programs.

Under the agreement, PetroChina will provide more programs dedicated to people in Jambi province, not just around Tanjung Jabung Barat and Tanjung Jabung Timur as two regencies where Jabung Block is situated.

On the same occasion, PetroChina Communication Manager Ginandjar and Head of Jambi Public Works and Housing Agency Muhammad Fauzi also signed a cooperation agreement for the construction of concrete bridge in Muara Sabak Timur, Tanjung Jabung Timur.

Apart from providing various social programs for the communities, PetroChina has involved in various Covid-19 prevention and control efforts during the pandemic. PetroChina also designs empowerment programs dedicated at Jambi’s indigenous community Suku Anak Dalam who live traditionally in Jambi forests.
