PetroChina International Jabung Ltd., in collaboration with the Jambi city branch of the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI), held blood donation events on August 20-21, 2022. Some 154 blood bags were collected from 183 field employees in Betara Camp, Tanjung Jabung Barat, and Geragai Camp, Tanjung Jabung Timur.

PetroChina Jabung Field Manager Arief Hari Suseno said that he hoped the collected blood could bolster PMI’s blood supply, especially as Jambi is currently grappling with increasing number of dengue fever cases.

“I encourage my colleagues at PetroChina to donate their blood regularly, either through PMI offices or at hospitals. By donating blood, we help ensure blood stock during times of emergency,” Arief said.

Meanwhile, PetroChina medical officer dr. William Aditya said that PetroChina regularly held blood donation events. Other than with PMI, the company has also collaborated with Daud Arif General Hospital in Kuala Tungkal and Raden Mattaher General Hospital in Jambi City for blood donation events.
