PetroChina International Jabung Ltd. was among the exhibitors joining in the IPA Convention and Exhibition (Convex) 2022 hosted at the Jakarta Convention Center on September 21-23 this year. This was the first time IPA Convex was held offline since the Covid-19 pandemic began in 2020. In 2021, the event was held fully online.

As one of the major events for oil and gas industry in Indonesia, the IPA Convex is hosted annually by the Indonesian Petroleum Association (IPA). This year’s theme highlighted the government’s commitment to increase oil and gas production, as well as developing the renewable energy sector.

Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Arifin Tasrif officially inaugurated the event on Wednesday and visited PetroChina booth after the opening ceremony. PetroChina President Director Qian Mingyang, who is also an IPA Board Member, welcomed the minister and explained the current developments on Jabung Block.

On the second day of the exhibition, Exploration Support & Operation Manager Andri Syafriya talked with students in a sharing session themed “Go Deeper: Exploring the Hidden Treasure” moderated by Eva Jeannifer from Communication Department.

During the closing ceremony, PetroChina’s vocal group performed several medley songs for the audience.
