PetroChina International Jabung Ltd. proudly supports the commemoration of the 2022 World Environment Day in Jambi Province, held in collaboration between the Jambi provincial administration, Muaro Jambi regency administration and the Jambi branch of the Indonesian Forum for the Environment (WALHI). Themed “Only One Earth”, the event took place at Senaung Village, Jambi Luar Kota District, Muaro Jambi Regency, on June 2, 2022.

PetroChina Jabung HSSE Superintendent Dr. Frans Henny attended the event, along with Jambi Governor Al Haris, Muaro Jambi Acting Regent Bachyuni Deliansyah and Environment and Forestry Ministry’s director of waste reduction Shinta Saptarina Soemarno.

“PetroChina, which has received Green PROPER Award from the Environment and Forestry Ministry, reaffirms its commitment to collaborate with various stakeholders to protect the environment in and around Jabung Working Area. PetroChina is aware that we have only one earth that we must protect together,” Frans said.

In his remarks, Al Haris urged the people of Jambi to always protect the environment and keep Batanghari River, which goes through the province and its capital city, trash-free.
