SKK Migas – PetroChina Sign Security Cooperation Extension with Jambi Police

SKK Migas and the Jambi Police signed a cooperation agreement extension for the safeguarding of PetroChina International Jabung Ltd.’s working area as national vital objects in oil and gas, at an event in Jambi city on June 6, 2022. SKK Migas Deputy of Business Support Rudi Satwiko and Jambi Police chief Insp. Gen. A. Rachmad Wibowo were the signatories.

The cooperation agreement extension aims to support upstream oil and gas activities in Jambi Province as part of the effort to achieve national production targets. The new cooperation agreement is in effect from January 1 this year to December 31, 2023.

According to Rudi, the cooperation agreement will boost the government’s ambitious aim to produce one million BOPD and 12 BSCFD of gas in 2030. “We hope that this signing will increase the synergy between the Jambi Police, SKK Migas and PSCs in Jambi and boost investment climate,” he said.

Separately, PetroChina VP Human Resources and Relations Dencio R. Boele expressed his gratitude to the Jambi Police for its continuous security support for the company’s operation in Jambi. “Through this cooperation agreement extension, PetroChina hopes that our good collaboration in ensuring security of vital objects that support upstream oil and gas operations in Jabung Block will continue. Successful production in Jabung Block will undoubtedly contribute to the fulfilment of the government’s production targets for 2030,” Dencio said.

In the same event, SKK Migas and the Jambi Police also signed a cooperation agreement for safeguarding the facilities of Pertamina Hulu Rokan Regional 1 Zone 1 Jambi Field, Jadestone Energy Lemang Pte. Ltd. and MontD’Or Oil Tungkal. Ltd.
