In celebration of the 26th anniversary of East Tanjung Jabung Regency, PetroChina Jabung organized a free medical check-up for local communities on Oct. 25.

VP Business Support Alfiani said that the initiative, which was held at Geragai Camp as part of the company’s CSR program, reflected the company’s commitment to supporting public health in the Jabung Working Area. “Health is the foundation of community well-being. Through this initiative, we aim to help residents around our operational areas access quality healthcare services,” she said.

The program was held in collaboration with the Indonesian Medical Association (IDI) East Tanjung Jabung branch. Six general practitioners, one medical specialist, and nine other healthcare workers provided medical services to 300 residents from ten villages across the Geragai and West Muara Sabak districts.

The health checks included for blood sugar, cholesterol, uric acid and other parameters. Residents could also consult on healthy lifestyles and prevention of common non-communicable diseases. “We give our sincere gratitude to IDI East Tanjung Jabung for their dedication and cooperation. This initiative would not be possible without strong collaboration between the private sector and medical professionals,” Alfiani added.

Additionally, PetroChina Jabung donated 120 boxes of maternal formula milk to the East Tanjung Jabung Health Office in support of the government’s priority program for stunting prevention and reduction.

Through continuous collaboration with local governments and health professionals, PetroChina remains committed to supporting sustainable development and community well-being around its operational areas. “We believe that public health is a shared responsibility. By working together with the local government, healthcare professionals, and the company, we can build a healthy, productive, and empowered community,” Alfiani concluded.

Through this activity, PetroChina Jabung reaffirmed its role not only as the government’s partner in the energy sector but also as an active member of the community committed on supporting social development and public welfare in East Tanjung Jabung Regency.
