In an effort to strengthen occupational health and safety culture, PetroChina Jabung held HSSE Day 2025 event under the theme of “Improving Safety Culture” at Jakarta Office on October 9.
The all-day event comprises HSSE Townhall, HSSE Talk Show and HSSE Experience. In Geragai, employees joined from Geragai Camp Recreation Hall and several meeting rooms. Meanwhile, in Betara, employees joined from the Betara Camp Recreation Hall, Admin Building, CCR, and Rig 91. Offshore workers also participated from the Marine Office. Both on-duty and off-duty workers joined the session virtually.
The Townhall was moderated by QHSSE Manager Alvin Reginald and featured presentations on HSSE performance, challenges, and commitments. Speakers included President Director Wang Lei, GM Jabung Wang Heping, VP Technical and Business Development Yu Jinbao, VP of Finance Jin Lihao, VP Business Support Alfiani, VP Supply Chain Management Budi Susanto, and VP Operation Khostarosa Andika Jaya.
In his remarks, President Director Wang Lei reaffirmed PetroChina’s strong commitment on promoting HSSE culture as a company that places safety as its top priority. He highlighted that continuous efforts to maintain safety standards across all PetroChina work areas this year have yielded outstanding results.
“Today, we celebrate a remarkable achievement: 20 million manhours with zero TRI throughout 2025. This milestone reflects the strength of our safety culture—built not by policies alone, but by people who care,” he said.
He also expressed his appreciation to all employees for prioritizing safety in the field, emphasizing that vigilance is key to sustaining the company’s operations.
“HSSE is not just a procedure. It is a culture we live together—every day, at every site. Let’s continue to take care of ourselves, support our colleagues, and protect PetroChina. Be fit. Be safe. Be a leader in safety,” he added.
During the townhall, employees from Geragai and Betara interacted directly with management representatives who addressed questions based on their areas of expertise. The event served as a valuable platform for communication and collective learning to reinforce commitment to Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) across all operations.
After the townhall was the health talk show featuring dr. Yohannes Toban Layuk Allo, an orthopedic sports surgeon from Pondok Indah Hospital, with dr. Mirsupi Usman from Medical Section as moderator.
