PetroChina International Jabung Ltd. is proud to support efforts of the upstream oil and gas industry to create sustainable environment through low carbon initiatives.

On Saturday, 29 July 2023, PetroChina Jabung joined with SKK Migas and several other PSCs in launching the "One Two Trees - One Employee Two Trees" campaign, which encourages all upstream oil and gas workers to plant and nurture two trees to contribute to lowering carbon emission in their own environments, either at home, office area or elsewhere.

The launching event involved planting 10,000 trees at Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) Mangrove Ecotourism Area in North Jakarta. PetroChina Jabung VP Human Resources & Relations Dencio Renato Boele attended the event, alongside SKK Migas chief Dwi Soetjipto, Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry’s Act. Secretary General Dadan Kusdiana, Environment and Forestry Ministry’s Director General of Watershed Area and Forest Rehabilitation Management Dyah Murtiningsih and Puteri Indonesia for the Environment 2022 Cindy May McGuire.

The campaign, which will run through October this year, aims to increase environmental awareness among upstream oil and gas industry workers. It is also part of the industry’s commitment on environmental sustainability in line with the IOG 4.0 strategic plan, as well as concrete show of support for the Indonesian government’s net zero emission target in 2060.
