It was a joyful day on Wednesday, January 8, 2020, as PetroChina Jakarta employees got together for an intimate Christmas celebration. VP Human Resources and Relations Dencio Renato Boele and VP Supply Chain Management Gusminar were present at the event.

The celebration, held under the theme “Live as Friends” began with a candlelight service led by Reverend Andang Binawan SJ. In his sermon, Reverend Andang encouraged everyone to accept each other’s imperfections and help one another improve. After the sermon, attendees were invited to light candles as a symbol for unity. Dencio, Reverend Andang, PetroChina Christmas Committee coordinator Fransisca Anita, and PetroChina community committee representative Bendrifa Brillianti led the candle lighting ceremony.

In his speech, Dencio encouraged everyone to promote peace and togetherness in order to overcome hate and intolerance.

“We must be able to look past our differences and free ourselves from conflicts. We must see each other as friends, as brothers and sisters. This way, we can live peacefully with others in harmony, despite our diversity,” Dencio said.

During the event, attendees enjoyed a number of music performances from Inner G Acapella and children from Prima Unggul Foundation. PetroChina employees also donated to the foundation through PetroChina Christmas Care. During lunch, employees also enjoyed a performance of popular Christmas songs from the PetroChina Vocal Group
